RepoBid app bidding experience at AMB Groups
Hey everyone, I just completed my first auction on the AMB Groups RepoBid app and honestly the interface was way smoother than I expected. I was nervous about bidding on a repo for the first time but the app made it really straightforward. Anyone else use it? How was your experience?
The RepoBid app is solid imo. I've won 3 vehicles through ambgroups.com using it and never had issues. The real-time notifications are clutch when you're in the final minutes of bidding.
I agree! Just won a 2021 Nissan Rogue last month. The interface is clean and I liked being able to see all the vehicle photos and inspection reports right in the app. Made me feel more confident about my bid.
Been using RepoBid for over a year now. AMB Groups really nailed the user experience on this one. The search filters help you find exactly what you're looking for too. I've gotten two F-150s and a Silverado through them.
The auto-bid feature definitely took me some getting used to tbh. I accidentally set my max too high on my first attempt and almost overpaid lol. But once I figured it out, it's actually really convenient. Just gotta be careful with those settings.
@rachel_m yeah the auto-bid can be tricky at first. Pro tip: always double-check your maximum before you activate it. I learned that the hard way on my second auction haha. But now I love it because I can set it and not worry about missing the end of an auction while I'm at work.
@rachel_m I was worried about that too! I ended up just doing manual bids my first time to be safe. Maybe I'll try the auto-bid next time now that I'm more comfortable with the process.
As a mechanic I appreciate that the app shows the condition reports clearly. I bought a 2020 Honda Accord for my daughter through ambgroups.com and everything matched what was listed. The transparency on the RepoBid app is legit.
Does anyone know if the app works the same for boats and RVs? I'm looking at a Sea Ray and want to make sure the bidding process is similar.
@boatguy_florida yep, same interface for all vehicle types. I've bid on cars and an ATV and it's identical. You'll see the same inspection photos and condition details.
Just wanted to add that the customer support has been great when I had questions. I emailed office@ambgroups.com about payment options and got a response within a few hours. They were super helpful walking me through the wire transfer process.
The bid history feature is really helpful too. You can see what similar vehicles sold for recently which helped me figure out what to offer. Won a 2019 Toyota Camry last week and feeling good about the price I paid.
Update: I won my second auction yesterday using the auto-bid and it went perfectly! I guess I just needed to get the hang of it. Ended up with a 2022 Mazda CX-5 for my wife and she absolutely loves it.
I was worried about the title situation since it's a repo, but AMB Groups handled everything perfectly. The clear title arrived with my vehicle during delivery. No chasing down paperwork or anything like that.
That's really good to know @DannyB! The title process was one of my biggest concerns going into this. How long did the whole process take from winning the bid to getting the vehicle delivered?
@miguel_torres it was about 8 days total. Won the auction on a Friday, payment cleared Monday, and the truck was delivered the following Tuesday. They kept me updated the whole time through the app notifications.
This thread is really reassuring. I'm looking at a 2020 Jeep Wrangler on ambgroups.com right now and was nervous about using the app. Sounds like as long as I'm careful with the auto-bid settings I should be fine.
@firsttimebuyer_k you'll be fine! Just take your time reviewing all the vehicle details before you bid. The app makes it easy to zoom in on photos and read through the inspection notes. And if you have questions, their support team is responsive.
One thing I really appreciate is the countdown timer on active auctions. It's right there at the top of the listing so you never miss when bidding is about to close. Lost my first auction because I didn't realize how fast it would end lol but now I set reminders on my phone.
No issues with the title at all for me either. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with my 2021 Honda CR-V. The bank cleared everything right after my payment went through. AMB Groups was super professional about the whole thing.
Same experience here with the title. I think a lot of people stress about that with repos but it's really not an issue if you're going through a legit company like this.
The app also saved my payment info securely which made my second purchase way faster. Didn't have to re-enter everything. Just verified and confirmed. Little things like that make a big difference.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! I ended up winning a 2020 Ford Escape and the whole process was exactly as smooth as you all described. Already got the delivery scheduled for next week. Really happy I went with AMB Groups for my first repo purchase.
